Nora Ephron

Nora Ephron (born May 19, 1941 – June 26, 2012) was an American filmmaker, and writer. She was best known for her romantic comedies and was a three time Academy Award nominee for Writing Original Screenplay: for Silkwood (1983), When Harry Met Sally... (1990) and Sleepless in Seattle (1993). She sometimes wrote with her sister Delia Ephron, and her final film was Julie & Julia (2009).
